For every special needs family to have access to a social network that they can rely on for support and opportunity.
Who We Are
PlayDate Foundation is a non-profit social networking site for kids with physical, mental and learning disabilities. Our organization saw a need among the special needs community that was not being adequately served. Children with special conditions are not being supplied with enough chances to form social relationships. PlayDate’s primary purpose is to bring these children together outside of this website for social interaction to build long lasting relationships with one another. With this network they will be able to become more active outside of home.
Our organization works in two ways. The first is through our website. We offer a “PlayDate Finder” service that allows children with special needs the opportunity to connect to children in their local area. It is our mission to connect the members of our site together to create a network that will facilitate strong bonds throughout the disabled community.
Our second channel of operations is events. PlayDate will host events on a monthly basis in major cities across the country. These events will be opportunities for children to come out and have a lot of fun. The events are also a chance for the children and parents to meet others like themselves in their local area.
Our organization is committed to giving our members chances to enrich their quality of lives through stronger social interactions.
